Spiros Cotsakis

I am a mathematician working in mathematical relativity and cosmology, with emphasis on dynamical-systems methods (normal forms, bifurcations, singularity theory) in Einstein–matter dynamics.

Current affiliations

  • Clare Hall, University of Cambridge (Life Member), UK
  • Institute of Gravitation and Cosmology, RUDN University (Professor), Russia

Research themes

  • Singularity theory in GR and cosmology (normal forms, versal families, organizing centers)
  • Spacetime singularities and black holes (bifurcation geometry of asymptotics)
  • Horizon geometry and evolution (null hypersurfaces; crease flow)
  • FRW/scalar-field dynamics (synchronization, acceleration as fold/saddle–node)
  • Modified gravity and scalarizations (structural stability; transition mechanisms)
